Popular Parisian concept store Colette will soon be closing its doors, and Chanel will take it over for a while.
Between October 30 and November 25, the French fashion house will take over the first floor of Colette to present a unique selection of ready-to-wear items from fall 2017 and cruise 2018 collections and accessories to the public. The special presentation is dedicated to the central theme of music, according to a Chanel press release.
In addition to clothing, other events will also take place such as beauty seminars and artistic encounters. A selection of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories
Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, who is also Colette's best customer unveiled a a hand painted logo for the event. Perhaps this collaboration with Colette is Lagerfeld's way of giving a final tribute to his beloved concept store.
On July 12, Colette announced the decision to close the store in an Instagram post. Since 1997, owner Colette Rousseaux and her daughter, Sarah Andelman, have been working on the concept store, which has always remained innovative and unique. From 20 December, the property on Rue Saint Honore will be taken over by Saint Laurent.
