Chanel launches first ever Coco Neige collection

After Coco Beach, Chanel has revealed a line specially dedicated to winter and snow sports.

Aptly named Coco Neige, the collection includes ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, designed for the immediate needs of the stylish skier. Parkas, puffas, ski suits, mittens, ushankas, mountain shoes, bags, and sunglasses will make up the line. Pieces of the line will be emblazoned with the Coco Neige logo.

The new collection brings a touch of Chanel elegance to alpine allure with Chanel combining leather, tweed and waterproof materials to nail both aesthetics and practicality.

Karl Lagerfeld lensed the campaign for the new collection which features none other than Australian actress Margot Robbie who was introduced as the latest brand ambassador for Chanel just a few weeks ago. The first image from the new campaign was released on the brand's Instagram account and sees Robbie sporting items including a soft chunky sweater, a parka, and a down jacket, against a background of blue sky and clouds.

'This shoot was one of the greatest experiences of my career,' said Robbie of the campaign. 'The energy and vibe on set was so wonderful and collaborative. One of the first things Karl Lagerfeld said to me was that we never need to take ourselves too seriously.'

Coco Neige will be available in-stores and online from July.
