Cartier launches New High Jewelry Collection Beautes du Monde

French luxury Jeweler Cartier has launched its latest High Jewelry collection that celebrates the wonders of the world and the maison's extraordinary savoir-faire.

Titled 'Beautes du Monde' the collection was launched in Madrid and comprises of rings, necklaces and sets that are an ode to the splendor and curiosities of nature. Inspired by the beauty of the world, the result is jewelry that subtly and overtly refers to emblematic animals that are part of Cartier's imagination: iguanas, coral reef atolls, water lilies, ammonite fossils, and serpents.

The opulent collection of necklaces are as follows:

- The 'Apatura' Necklace is an interpretation of a butterfly's wings with platinum, opals, colored sapphires, sapphires and diamonds.
- The 'Nouchali' Necklace inspired by the water lily, is made with white gold, rubellites, chalcedonies, black lacquer and diamonds.
- The 'Recif' Necklace inspired by underwater corals with platinum, emeralds, coral, amethysts and diamonds.
- The 'Water Aspis' Necklace mimics the movement of a snake with white gold, sapphires, lapis lazuli and diamonds.
- The 'Rituel' Necklace pays homage to Mesoamerican jewelry and has a double row of azure chalcedony beads with a constellation of rubies.
- The 'Iwana' Necklace inspired by the texture and depth of a green iguana's skin featuring 43.45-carat Colombian emeralds.


Besides the alluring necklaces the capsule features a range of seven rings inspired by the abundance of nature and beauty of the world. Designed to look like tiny sculptures, each of them concentrates the extraordinary creativity of the universe: a carapace from a drawing in an old biology book; a chimera, Homer's mythological creature; an ammonite fossil; a sea monster; a constellation; a geological crystallization; a Chinese puzzle.

The Cartier Beautes du Monde High Jewelry Collection is available now in select boutiques around the world. To coincide with it's launch a campaign film featuring Iranian actress, singer and musician Golshifteh Farahani has been released.
