Cara Delevingne and friends are designing a tribute collection for Karl Lagerfeld

6 months after his death Karl Lagerfeld's namesake brand has announced a collection designed in his honor.

The white shirt which was his Signature Piece will be reinterpreted by some of his closest companions. Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, Amber Valletta, Lewis Hamilton, Tommy Hilfiger, Alessandro Michele, Carine Roitfeld, Diana Kruger, Takashi Murakami, and Sebastien Jondeau Lagerfeld's longtime assistant and confidant will each design their own interpretation of Karl's white shirt.

Titled 'The White Shirt Project' it will be led by Carine Roitfeld, former Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Paris and style consultant at the Karl Lagerfeld brand. The collection will be presented with an exhibition during the Paris Fashion Week in September.

Since number 7 was Karls favorite number, a total of seven designs will be made 77 times and sold for 777 euros each. The proceeds will go to the French organization "Sauver la Vie", which promotes medical research projects at the University of Paris Descartes and was also personally supported by Karl Lagerfeld during his lifetime.
