Calvin Klein taps Millie Bobby Brown for new campaign

English actress Millie Bobby Brown has been tapped by Calvin Klein for its 'Calvin Klein by Appointment' campaign.

The breakout star of Netflix's Stranger Things landed her first major fashion campaign under chief creative officer Raf Simons. In an Instagram post, she revealed the news with a photo of herself wearing a white shirt with layers of red, mahogany, and yellow fringe draped across the torso, with her signature pixie cut. Millie is the youngest to model for the iconic brand. Joining her are models Natalie Westling, Julia Nobis, Kiki Willems, Jamie Bochert and actress Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Unlike past collections which were available to celebrities only, the new line is 'no longer solely for celebrities, rather an open made-to-measure service.' According to Simons Calvin Klein By Appointment 1-14 marks a new, more inclusive direction for the company and is very much about celebrating the American woman and American fashion. The 14 piece collection is handcrafted and made to measure in NYC.

According to Pieter Mulier, Creative Director Calvin Klein, 'It is driven by character; it's about a woman feeling empowered and being her own person in what she wears.'

The campaign carries the slogan "A cast of distinct individuals brings the idea to life: Strength of character is key. Whether famous or unknown, all are treated equally". Appointments will be available from April 1 2017, via email.
