Following on the news that
Christopher Bailey will be leaving the company after 17 years, Burberry has launched its latest Christmas campaign featuring Cara Delevingne in the lead.
Earlier, last week the British label introduced the winter campaign which was lensed by British photographer Alasdair McLellan. The counterpart for the men's line is presented by British actor Matt Smith, the star of Netflix biographical drama series The Crown. Together Delevingne and Smith humorously present the festive designs in a short film while the 80s hit "Always On My Mind" of the "Pet Shop Boys" plays in the background.
'Im so proud to share this new shoot I did with Alasdair McLellan and Matt Smith,' said Delevingne in a press release who has appeared in front of the camera for Burberry several times - the first being in 2010.
For Matt, the campaign which marks his first as the face of the brand had plenty of praise for Christopher Bailey saying,
' Thank you to the creative genius and my dear friend Christopher Bailey for involving me in this and all the incredible projects over the years. It has been and always will be a joy to work with you and the Burberry family.'
