Burberry collaborates with British Artist Gary Hume for Summer 2025 show

British luxury fashion house Burberry has teamed up with Gary Hume for its upcoming Summer 2025 show.

The renowned British artist has crafted a unique set which was unveiled at the National Theatre in London on 16th September. The set takes inspiration from his earlier installation, 'Bays', which made its debut in the East Country Yard Show in London's Docklands back in 1990.

'It is a pleasure and an honour to collaborate with Gary Hume for our Summer 2025 show. I have long admired his work; his extraordinary use of color, and the emotion behind his pieces, are what make him such a fascinating artist,' Daniel Lee, Chief Creative Officer, Burberry in a press release.

Reflecting on the collaboration Hume added, 'When Daniel approached me for this collaboration, I was surprised he was even aware of the 'Bays' installation, as it was work I made a long time ago that hasn't been seen much. It's such an honor to work with him on this show and design the set for such an iconic brand at an iconic venue.'

The partnership continues Burberry's dedication to championing and showcasing British arts and culture on a global stage through collaborations with contemporary British artists like Sarah Lucas at Tate Britain and John Akomfrah at La Biennale Di Venezia, as well as support for esteemed institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts.

Born in 1962, Hume rose to prominence during the early 1990s within the Young British Artists movement. His internationally celebrated large-scale paintings feature vivid colors and portray fragments of daily life while his art delves into diverse themes such as personal memories, beauty, romance, mystery, and politics.
