Bruce Jenner Comes Out As A Woman On The Cover Of Vanity Fair
After coming clean about becoming a woman on an E! special with Diane Sawyer last month, today Bruce Jenner introduced the world to her new female identity "Caitlyn" on the cover of Vanity Fair.
Shot by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz at Jenner's Malibu home and interviewed by Pulitzer Prize-winning contributing editor and author of 'Friday Night Lights' Buzz Bissinger, the 22-page cover story features stunning photos of Caitlyn Jenner along with revealing new details of the former olympian's path to becoming Caitlyn.
Speaking of why she finally decided to make her transition public Jenner tells Buzz Bissinger; "If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, 'You just blew your entire life"
In the behind-the-scenes video Jenner is seen in a glamorous cleavage-baring ball gown and tells Bissinger that Bruce was "always telling lies", "Bruce always had to tell a lie, he was always living a lie, every day he had a secret from morning until night. Caitlyn doesn't have any secrets. As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I'm free."
Caitlyn has a new Twitter account and tweeted saying : "I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me."
The issue hits newsstands on Tuesday, June 9.
