Beyonce is the queen of September's magazine cover space.
The 33-year-old megastar is the cover star of the much-anticipated September issue of Vogue with the cover line that reads
"Just B", "Beyonce and the Art of Global Domination."
Photographed by legendary
Mario Testino, Beyonce appears on the cover sporting a tousled wet hairstyle whilst wearing a body-hugging lavender lace Marc Jacobs dress and a ruby sequined coat tossed over her shoulder.
Inside the editorial she appears in a see-through Versace Atelier netted black mesh dress and patent leather Louboutins. In other black and white images, one in which she sports a Stella McCartney dress and another wearing a Givenchy jacket and Louis Vuitton dress, she looks directly at the reader with a strong gaze and lips slightly parted.
Beyonce also appears in an accompanying video, in which she served as creative director alongside Todd Tourso that provides an interpretive look at the cover story and looks like a Beyonce video rather than a behind-the-scenes Vogue shoot.
The issue is a significant landmark for Beyonce who makes history as the first black musician and the third black woman ever to cover the fashion bible's September issue. She joins Halle Berry (2010) and Naomi Campbell (1989) as the only three in the magazine's 123 year history. This is Beyonce's third Vogue cover who previously appeared on the March 2013 issue (lensed by Patrick Demarchelier), and on the April 2009 issue, (shot by Testino).
Vogue's 2015 September issue is available online and officially hits newsstands on August 25.
