Balmain Taps Jenner, Hadid & Smalls Siblings For Fall 2015 Campaign
French design house Balmain has enlisted sibling duos: Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Joan and Erika Smalls for it's fall/winter 2015 ad campaign.
The campaign which debuted by the brand last week on Instagram actually features four sibling acts, Brothers Armando and Fernando Cabral star in the menswear ads. Shot by noted photographer Mario Sorrenti, the glamorous star studded campaign is a high-fashion, ultra-luxurious celebration of sibling love. The Hadid sisters pose in glitzy outfits with Bella applying lipstick to Gigi, Joan and Erika pose gracefully, while Kylie Jenner leans in for a kiss from sister Kendall. Armando and Fernando pose, a la Michelangelo's "Pieta".
Olivier Rousteing, Balmain's creative director, spoke of the campaign calling it a 'celebration of the unique and unconditional love of siblings.' 'They represent the fresh, diverse and open spirit of a new generation of fashion,' he said of the chic siblings. 'Watching them work together also made clear to me the universality of an age-old truth: the truly powerful strength, support, and love that family members can provide to one another.'
Artist Aaron de Mey, one of the most in-demand makeup artists who has worked with everyone from Bruce Weber to Kenzo was behind the makeup look for the sultry photos. The campaign, will debut in Vogue's August issue.
