Alanui and Poldo Dog Couture unveil Ultra-Fashionable collection for Dogs

Luxury Italian label Alanui has teamed up with Milan-based Poldo Dog Couture on a capsule of accessories for dogs.

Titled 'Alanui x Poldo Dog Couture' the collection comprises of 6 pieces: three jacquard-knit wool sweaters and three transparent raincoats. The sweaters feature signature Alanui intarsia patterns and characteristic fringed collars and are available in three colorways: earthy beige, vibrant teal, and bright orange while the raincoats are embellished with classic bandana designs in red, black, and yellow.

'I am a big dog lover. I've always designed mini Alanui cardigans for my own dog, so this season I decided it was finally time to allocate a small collection to her and all her four-legged friends. Poldo Dog Couture was the perfect partner for this adventure,' said Carlotta Oddi, co-founder and creative director of Alanui.

Founded in in 2016 by Milanese siblings Carlotta and Nicolo Oddi, Alanui which means 'long path' in Hawaiian was born after a trip to Hawaii and California. The label is known for its bohemian styled jacquard knits that are hand made in Italy using sustainable methods. Each of its pieces tell a different story and serve as an emotion-charged garment, the perfect travel companion that journey through different cultures, inspirations, symbols, and experiences.

While the collection is Alanui's first in pet wear, it is not the first for Poldo Dog Couture. The luxury brand that specializes in apparel for canines has previously collaborated with several luxury houses such as Missoni, Moncler, and DSquared2. Luxury pet wear is the next hot thing in fashion with more luxury brands offering high-end accessories and haute couture collections for man's four-legged best friend.
