Valentino to Hold its Fall 2022 Couture Show in Rome

Italian luxury fashion house Valentino has chosen Rome as the setting for it's Fall-Winter 2022-2023 haute couture show.

The show will be take place on July 8 in Piazza Mignanelli, a stone's throw away from the Spanish Steps and home to the company's storied headquarters. Organized in collaboration with Roma Capitale and the Advisor for Major Events, Tourism, Sports and Fashion, the event promises to be spectacular.

'Roma is the place where everything starts, the life, the people, our stories, and identities are here. We belong to this place as much as this place belongs to the world and to Valentino,' said Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

'We really wanted this great event and we are very proud to host it in the very center of Rome. It will be the start of a month of initiatives that will involve the whole city. Rome is rediscovering its natural vocation as Capital of Style', said Alessandro Onorato, Rome councilor for major events, tourism, sport and fashion.

'I would like to thank Maison Valentino for its return to Rome, with a fashion show that announces itself to be unique. With its architectural and artistic marvels, this city is the best venue to host the style of the Italian Maison de Couture, which was founded in Rome and that conveys the Italian values all over the world. With this great event, Rome returns at the center of the international fashion scene,' said the Italian capital's mayor Roberto Gualtieri, in a joint statement issued by Valentino and the city of Rome.

While haute couture collections are usually presented in Paris, this year, Valentino's choice of Rome lies in its significant cultural and historical richness and Valentino's Roman heritage. The fashion house had its very first location in Rome in 1960, in Via Condotti and the historic Palazzo Mignanelli still houses the brand's atelier.

The Valentino Fall 2022 Haute Couture Show promises to be truly exceptional. In addition to the physical show it will also be streamed digitally.
