American clothing brand Tommy Hilfiger has released a capsule collection inspired by musical icons that have been part of its history.
Titled Tommy Revisited: Music Edition, the capsule features 16 organic cotton pieces of streetwear such as XXL hoodies, concert t-shirts, in blue, black, yellow, white and pink inspired by band merchandise of the 80s, 90s and 00s. Notable artists include TLC, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and the Rolling Stones.
Overall the capsule pays tribute to Vintage band merchandise and recognizes the brands' relationship with music. Tommy Hilfiger was was one of the first American brands to collaborate with musical artists and in 1999, their diffusion label Tommy Jeans also sponsored Britney's debut tour.
'With early connections to the brand ranging from sponsored tours to offstage friendships, the collection celebrates unique moments in the brand's musical history by mixing music-tour inspired artwork with iconic Tommy Jeans streetwear,' said the brand.
The Tommy Revisited: Music Edition collection is available online now and in selected Tommy Hilfiger and Tommy Jeans stores.
