Skateboarding-shop chain and clothing brand Supreme has teamed up with French couturier Jean Paul Gaultier.
The collaboration marks his first foray back into ready-to-wear since his 2014 announcement that he would cease making ready-to-wear and menswear to focus on haute couture.
Titled Jean Paul Gaultier x Supreme, the collection is a natural continuation of his work and features coveted collectibles from photoprint suit and pants that say, 'FUCK RACISM,' to plaid faux fur jacket. Moreover, the campaign images by Collier Schorr features Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon alongside the artist Sancheeto.
Since it was founded in 1994 by James Jebbia, Supreme has developed a reputation for stellar co-operations. Apart from designers, it has collaborated with other sportswear labels (North Face, Oakley, Nike), artists (Kaws, Jeff Koons, George Condo), photographers (Martha Cooper), musicians (The Clash, Public Enemy), directors (Ralph Bakshi) and food companies (Campbell's, Coca Cola, Budweiser).
The Supreme x Jean Paul Gaultier collection will be available in Supreme stores worldwide on 11th April and online at supremenewyork.com.
