Leading footwear brand Stuart Weitzman has announced the appointment of Serena Williams as its newest global spokesperson.
The tennis legend stars in a series of black and white campaign images lensed by Ethan James Green. Wearing a white bodysuit and blazer she stands tall while posing on an Olympic-like medal ceremony platform modeling the brands' new styles such as the Aleena slide, the Nudist sandal, the Anny pump, and the Manila loafer.
Spreading strength and positivity, the 38-year-old exudes power, confidence, and elegance in the stunning images which she is seen as the embodiment of women as pillars of strength, hope, and optimism for their communities. 'I've been wearing [Stuart Weitzman shoes] for probably over a decade now, and they're a real staple in my closet. Most of all...it's SW and it has my initials,' Williams said of why she was inspired to work with the brand.
To kickstart the partnership Stuart Weitzman has partnered with Vital Voices an international nonprofit dedicated to investing in women leaders who drive global change. The brand and Williams selected Sage Ke'alohilani Quiamno, co-founder of Future For Us (dedicated to advancing women of color at work), and Ashlee Wisdom, founder of Health In Her HUE (a platform that connects black women to the healthcare providers, services and resources that are committed to their health and well-being) to support vulnerable communities that are suffering during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
'Now, more than ever is a moment to focus on hope and moving forward. I want women of every generation to be inspired to do so, one step at a time,' Williams said in a statement.
