Panerai returns as Official Timekeeper of Milano Design Week with new Luminor GMT


Richemont owned Italian luxury watch manufacturer Panerai marks its return to Milano Design Week (Salone del Mobile) as the Official Timekeeper.

Reinforcing it's commitment to the world of design and innovation and as a tribute to the prestigious occasion, Panera introduced a new model of the Luminor GMT at its pop-up at Milano Rho Fiera and the Casa Panerai boutique in Via Montenapoleone.

Titled 'Power Reserve Ceramica PAM01574', the new timepiece comprises of 231 components, 31 jewels and a sandwich-style dial. It has a 44mm black ceramic case with a mix of polished and sandblasted finishes, complemented by a smoked sapphire crystal case back and a titanium base.

Other features are: a balance that oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, 12-hour GMT hand, beveled date window at 3 o'clock, water resistance up to 30 BAR (-300 meters), a power reserve of three days powered by the P.9012 caliber automatic movement, and a dedicated 12-hour GMT hand.

The watch comes in a blue sun brushed sandwich dial, an elegant blue alligator strap, and an additional, more casual blue rubber strap. The first and second strap, as well as the buckle, are equipped with the PAM Click Release System.

Priced at 16,800 Euro, the Luminor GMT Power Reserve Ceramica PAM01574 is available now at Panerai boutiques and authorized retailers.

Founded in Florence in 1860 as a workshop, shop and school of watch-making, Panerai supplied the Italian Navy with precision instruments and designed the Luminor and Radiomir. In 1997, the brand was acquired by the Richemont Group and these designs which were covered by the Military Secrets Act were launched on the international market.
