Italian luxury fashion label Off-White has appointed Sierra Leone-born, London-based fashion journalist and stylist Ibrahim Kamara as its art and image director effective immediately.
The announcement was made six months to the day since the unexpected passing of Virgil Abloh. According to the brand Kamara's relationship with Virgil and Off-White born and nurtured through DM messages on Instagram, blossomed both personally and professionally in the last three years creating a strong bond based on mutual respect and shared values. In the new role, he will further develop his influence and insight on the brand's collections, image, and content.
Born in Sierra Leone in 1990, Kamara came to London at the age of eleven. He studied at the renowned art and fashion college Central Saint Martins and worked as a stylist for Stella McCartney, Burberry and Dior, among others. He was also editor-in-chief of Dazed and fashion editor-at-large for i-D magazine. He is a winner of the Isabella Blow Award at the British Fashion Council's The Fashion Awards last November.

Kamara's appointment is part of a collective that seeks to continue the true spirit of Off-White by recruiting a multitude of talents.
