Moncler launches third collaboration with Simone Rocha

Italian sportswear and fashion label Moncler has teamed up with award-winning Irish designer Simone Rocha for a third time.

Titled '4 Moncler Simone Rocha' the collection consists of signature feminine pieces inspired by the gardens and gardening. All items are made with fabrics such as soft nylon, PVC, tulle and taffeta in white, blush, red, blue and black palettes. Rocha's trademark romanticism is incorporate into some of Moncler's signature designs.

'The set is outdoors-they are in a forest of silver birch trees and I was thinking about Girl Guides protecting themselves against nature...the idea of camping and tents almost becomes their protection,' Rocha said of her work in a statement. 'It has been an amazing opportunity to work with Moncler experts in their field and to explore the classic down fabrication in new ways with the Simone Rocha aesthetic. Fabrication and how it is manipulated and developed is a very important part of the design process for me.'

The new collaboration follows on last month's Palm Angels collection from designer Francesco Ragazzi which was released on the Moncler Genius project. The new inception began at Milan Fashion Week last year by Moncler's CEO, Remo Ruffini and replaces the traditional method of bi-yearly, seasonal releases with new items on a monthly basis.

The '4 Moncler x Simone Rochas' Collection is available now online and in selected boutiques.
