Maxim Magazine Launches Swimwear Line

After regularly featuring bikini-clad women in its pages for years, men's magazine Maxim is getting into the bikini business.

Inspired by Brigette Bardot, the line features boho looks (bikinis, one-pieces, and cover-ups) in a variety of styles, including fringe, crochet, paisley, seersucker, and gingham. Editor-in-chief Kate Lanphear who came up with the concept has teamed up with the Onis Design Group to produce the collection.

The swimwear line is in keeping with Lanphear's new direction of tweaking Maxim's view of women. Maxim's issues have had a huge makeover with the magazine adopting a more refined approach to their content that is focused on fashion and storytelling.

The swimwear line will make its debut on the runway at the SLS South Beach on Saturday, July 18, with prices ranging from $76 for separates and $320 for one-pieces and cover-ups.
