French luxury brand Chanel has tapped Margot Robbie as its newest ambassador.
The Academy Award-nominated actress and producer is the new face of its iconic J12 watch which was created by former artistic director of perfume and beauty Jacques Helleu in 2000. In 2019 it was re-designed by artistic director Arnaud Chastaingt with diamond-accented designs-all of which featured its signature ceramic.
'It's a dream to represent such a timeless and iconic brand. The history of the CHANEL woman is so exciting and the brand has remained such a power feminine standard of style. I'm thrilled to be part of the CHANEL family and continue their celebration of women & fashion,' Robbie said in a press release.
In her new role as the face of J12, joins a Blockbuster line-up of nine other Chanel ambassadors including Anna Mouglalis, Ali MacGraw, Carole Bouquet, Vanessa Paradis, Liu Wen, Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer, along with the longtime face of the brand Keira Knightley and Lily-Rose Depp.
'It feels incredibly special to be alongside such inspiring women in this campaign. Embodying the J12 watch to me is acknowledging and appreciating time,' she added.
The partnership also marks significant milestones for both Robbie and Chanel: The actress completed two decades of working in the film industry while the J12 is one of the storied French house's bestsellers for two decades.
