Spanish luxury house
Loewe is set to open its first standalone store in Australia later this year.
The international retailer will mark its presence in late 2016 in partnership with Emerald Group Investments (EGI) who will serve bulk up the brand's wholesale presence. The investment group who operates a number of luxury businesses in the market, including Rolex and Bang & Olufsen stores will see the development of the LOEWE brand in Australia. EGI will also grow out the LOEWE wholesale business channel through a partnership selection of specialist multi brand fashion and accessories retailers in the market.
Loewe Asia Pacific managing director Deepak Sharma said the partnership will expand services to clientele.
'We are very pleased to be partnering with Emerald Group Investments to grow the LOEWE brand in Australia which we believe to have high potential. EGI are luxury retail specialists in the market, and we look forward to expanding the offer, quality service and collection available to our clientele.'
James Kennedy, Group CEO, Emerald Group Investments added,
'Our company looks forward to working with LOEWE, one of the world's most respected luxury houses. Our focus will be on providing LOEWE's exceptional brand experiences for its clientele.'
Today, LOEWE approaches 170 years as one of the world's important luxury houses. Founded in Madrid by Enrique Loewe Roessberg, a German expatriate, in 1846 as a leather goods workshop, it was purchased by LVMH in 1996 and British designer Jonathan Anderson was hired as creative director in 2013 who reconfigured its founding pillars with a timely awareness evident in desirable and functional products across multiple categories, including ready-to-wear, accessories, home and lifestyle.
