Lena Mahfouf launches Scholarship for The Paris School of Fashion

Lena Mahfouf has launched a scholarship in her name for The Paris School of Fashion.

The 23-year-old French Video Blogger and Influencer who is also known as Lena Situations made the announcement to her 3 million followers in an Instagram post titled 'When you receive you give'.

'Lena was immediately sensitive to the project. Usually, we had grants in partnership with brands like Balmain or Zadig et Voltaire. This is the first time that we have had a scholarship offered by a personality. Lena's choice was obvious,' explained Valerie Berdah-Levy , the director of the Istituto Marangoni Paris.

The scholarship offers a student full coverage of the costs of a bachelor's degree (i.e. three years of study) for one of its three programs in October 2021: Fashion Design, Fashion Business and Fashion styling & Creative Direction. The project is particularly close to the heart of Mahfouf who herself is a former student of the Moda Domani Institute program at ISG Paris.

The application phase runs until April 30. To register, baccalaureate holders must meet several conditions: be of French nationality, have the required level of English, hold the baccalaureate diploma and wish to start their studies in Paris for the start of the 2021 school year. They must also present a letter of motivation as well as a portfolio of 6 original creations.

Once all the applications have been collected, a preselection of five or six students will be carried out by the Istituto Marangoni. On May 12, the selected candidates will then be interviewed in front of a jury of professionals made up of Mahfouf, Berdah-Levy, as well as the heads of the three eligible programs. On May 14, Lena will announce the winner of the first edition of the scholarship.
