Karl Lagerfeld memorial event to be held this Summer in Paris

Three months after his passing away iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld will be given a large memorial at the Grand Palais in the French capital.

Organized by Chanel, Fendi and the Karl Lagerfeld brand, the event will honor his work, his life and his influence on the fashion world on a large scale. Titled 'Karl For Ever' the event is not open to everyone and only 2,500 guests have been invited which promises to be a 'joyful celebration' of 'all things Karl'. Videos and interviews by Lagerfeld will be shown on three huge screens, accompanied by live performances by dancers, musicians, singers, and actors

'It will be an impressive experience, a celebration of his wonderful personality,' said Bruno Pavlovsky, Chanel's President of Fashion.

'We will pay tribute to Karl, not only as one of the greatest creative geniuses of our time but above all as a person,' Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld added.

The Karl Lagerfeld 'Karl For Ever' commemoration will take place on June 20.
