Jil Sander and Birkenstock collaborate on Exclusive new collection

Luxury fashion house Jil Sander and iconic footwear label Birkenstock have teamed up for an exclusive new collection.

Titled Birkenstock x Jil Sander, the capsule which comprises of four flat shoes are part of the Jil Sander+ line which creative directors Luke and Lucie Meier launched in 2019.

Combining the Jil Sander aesthetic and Birkenstock silhouette, the four-styles which come in cream olive and black shades and are classics: Milano, Arizona and Berlin, and an unseen edition called Velan.

'We have worn Birkenstocks for as long as we can remember. They are comfortable to wear, but also comforting. They have been with us in some remarkable places, from camping in the Canadian wilderness to sitting fireside in the Swiss Alps. However, the quality and integrity of Birkenstock is what convinced us to work with them,' the Meiers said of the collaboration.

'We chose to work with Jil Sander, believing in the new interpretation of Lucie and Luke Meier. In our view, they have given this important brand relevance and authenticity. Together we achieved what we always strive for-real newness and product innovation,' said Oliver Reichert, CEO, Birkenstock.

The Birkenstock x Jil Sander collection will be available at Jilsander.com, 1774.com and Mytheresa.com exclusively from July 1 and in Jil Sander stores and selected retailers around the world from July 8.
