Jacquemus Makes Foray Into Interior Design With Exteta Collaboration

French label Jacquemus has teamed up with Italian company Exteta on a capsule in honor of Italian architect and designer Gae Aulenti.

The capsule which marks Jacquemus' first foray into Interior Design, is a special re-edition of Aulenti's renowned Locus Solus outdoor furniture collection that was designed in 1964.

It comprises of four pieces of chairs and loungers in two different textile finishes: a yellow-striped version and a beige fabric with contrasting hand-sewn stitching. Prices range between 1,188 euros for a Locus Solus chair in an off-white structure and yellow striped fabric, and 5,940 euros for the matching sun lounger.

The capsule also complements Jacquemus' 'Objets' line and celebrates his 'Le Raphia' collection with exclusive leather home accessories, a selection of original photo prints from Lucien Clergue and rare vintage books curated by the designer himself to pay tribute to his all-time favorite artists from David Hockney, Tarsila Do Amaral, Rene Burri, Luis Barragan, Claude Nori to Pablo Picasso.

Design, architecture and arts have always been a source of inspiration for Simon Porte Jacquemus and this capsule is a natural extension of Jacquemus multifaceted inspirations.

'This collaboration with Exteta came naturally and spontaneously. I have always dreamed of developing a furniture line...I'm a great fan of designer chairs and I have collected Gae Aulenti vintage chairs for many years, ever since I saw them in the movie 'La Piscine' by Jacques Deray. I wanted to add a Jacquemus touch to the chair, with a yellow striped fabric inspired by 80's beach mattresses and umbrellas,' said Simon Porte Jacquemus in a statement.

The Jacquemus + Exteta capsule is available exclusively on the Jacquemus website and at its store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.
