Gucci and Comme des Garcons unveil second collaboration


Italian Fashion house Gucci and Cult Japanese brand Comme des Garcons have teamed up for the second time to launch a designer shopper tote.

A reinvention of its trademark paper tote bag, the accessory features signature elements from both brands and has a retro wallpaper pattern adorned with the emblematic green and red web stripe of the House and the Comme des Garcons logo. Altogether, the designer trapezoidal bag combines the industrial design of Comme des Garcons with decorative Gucci prints.

This is not the first time that the two brands have collaborated. Last winter, Gucci's Creative Director Alessandro Michele and Comme des Garcons, founder Rei Kawakubo partnered to release the first shopper tote. The bag combined the characteristic strap of the Italian fashion house with the Rei Kawakubo logo.

Priced at 595 dollars the Gucci x Comme des Garcons bag is available online and in selected Comme des Garcons and Gucci stores. A limited-edition of one hundred shoppers (with a numbered label) will also be available in the Gucci online store.
