Estee Lauder appoints Brian Franz as Chief Technology, Data & Analytics Officer


Global Beauty Conglomerate The Estee Lauder Companies Inc has announced the appointment of Brian Franz as its Chief Technology, Data & Analytics Officer, effective April 21, 2025. He will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Stephane de La Faverie and will join the company's Executive Team.


As the company's first-ever combined Chief Data Technology, Data & Analytics Officer, Franz will be responsible for leading the strategic transformation of The Estee Lauder Companies' global data and technology capabilities. He will lead the company's global Information Technology (IT) organization, guiding efforts to scale systems while ensuring they are agile enough to meet the changing needs of the business.

He will also oversee the Digital Technology & Experience and Enterprise Data teams, to deliver more seamless and personalized digital experiences for our consumers, and harness data as a strategic asset. He will leverage capabilities from key external technology partners to support additional modernization and innovation for the company.

With a master's degree from New York University and a bachelor's degree from Iona College, Franz has extensive experience in technology, business transformation and scaling innovation in global enterprises. Prior to joining The Estee Lauder Companies, he served as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer State Street, overseeing technology and enterprise resiliency. Previously, he held senior roles at Diageo PLC as Chief Productivity Officer and CIO, and at PepsiCo International as CIO. His earlier career includes leadership positions at GE and AT&T.
