Chanel will return to Paris for its Metiers d'art 2019-2020 show

Chanel will be making its return to Paris for its Metiers d'art 2019-2020 show.

The French Fashion house said that it will take place on December 4, 2019 at an undisclosed location in the French capital. The decision to stay in the City of Lights is because of a national strike (a coordinated walkout against plans to reform the French pension system by the unions) expected on 5 December. This is also the reason why the show was moved forward up a day.

A true homecoming for Chanel, this years' Metiers d'art show is a fusion of creativity and craftsmanship and will witness the first designs by Virginie Viard, who took the reins following Karl Lagerfeld's death in February.
