Apple Announces Collaboration With Hermes

At today's Apple event, Apple announced its collaboration with Hermes to create a collection of new Apple Watches.

Named the Apple Watch Hermes, the heritage leather brand and the tech brand is a collaborative line giving the wearable tech a more fashion-forward look. The collection comes with a choice of three bands: the Single Tour, the Double Tour, and the Cuff. Handcrafted in Paris in the label's Barenia leather all three bands are made with brown leather, and they can be paired with both sizes of stainless steel Watch case. Each watch comes engraved with the Hermes signature, the typeface can be customized to Hermes's 'traditional iconography'.

'Apple and Hermes make very different products, but they reflect the deep appreciation of quality design,'
said Apple's chief design officer Jonathan Ive.
'Both companies are motivated by a sincere pursuit of excellence and the desire to create something that is not compromised. Apple Watch Hermes is a true testament to that belief.'

I see it as the establishment of an alliance in excellence; like horse and carriage, a perfect team.'
