BIOGRAPHY
First scouted in Toronto when she was 13, within four years Karen represented Canada as an Eileen and Jerry Ford “Face of the 80s”. In 1983 she signed with FORD Models combining a professional modeling career with her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Brown University and the University of London respectively. Modeling since her early teens taught Karen the art of reinvention, a skill that has served her well as an actress (Cosby Show, Guiding Light, One Life to Life, Homicide: Life On the Street), film producer (Bring Your ‘A’ Game, Fair Game?), social justice advocate, healthcare administrator and wellness ambassador. Karen sees beauty as timeless grace, a direct reflection of one’s inner light, health and well-being. A long time certified practitioner of yoga, meditation and advanced integrative wellness modalities, Karen promotes access to wellness and healthy lifestyle practices for all communities.
