The aim of the magazine is to provide content women need and which is taken for granted in societies with an overload of information, but which is lacking in Kurdistan: to give the young woman what she wants in an appealing way. To make her aware of her choices, to offer her opportunities and to make her grow. To educate her and make her aware of her rights, which lay the foundation to play a role in a society that needs educated women to implement these rights. Women need to take a place in the front seat in the political and economical sphere and in society in general. Women are crucial to be part of nation building and change in a society. Women in Kurdistan need to come up for themselves together with their brothers
The reader of ZHIN is between 18 and 50. She is still studying, graduated and has some form of middle to higher education. Thanks to her open mind, potential, capacity and drive to develop herself as well as her community, she is an example to other women in the society. She lives in urban area’s, mainly Sulaymanya and Erbil. She believes that investing in herself is key to change and that this investment finds it roots in any kind of personal growth. Therefore, she is interested in politics, economics, society and life, but also fashion and beauty. She may dress West European style, or more traditional, it is where she feels comfortable in to make that change and to live happy. She finds in ZHIN a sister, a platform, where she can share her ideas and where she can absorb information from, to enhance her own identity. But she also finds in ZHIN a moment for herself to entertain herself, enjoying a moment for herself, to cherish being a woman, to get inspiration, being pampered and most of all, having a good time.
