HANGER is the love child of JUICE Malaysia and a mysterious stranger with studded leather jacket and ripped cult jeans. It all happened one crazy night out and details are rather sketchy...
On a serious note however, we are a biannual magazine that prints two issues a year – one during Autumn/Winter and another during Spring/Summer. We curate our content by observing interesting scenes and movements, and fitting the right topics within our magazine's own identity. We are not your average read. Although HANGER is predominantly a street fashion magazine, we would like to also be considered around the region as the main platform for the quirky, the unique and those who has had the foresight to step out of the box to explore their uncanny art and creation, no matter what field they are categorised under. Be it music, design, culture, fashion and whatever else these scene ringleaders can think up.
Simply put, we would like to think of ourselves as a scene specialist – taking note of current fashion trends, style hot spots and the latest music and art movements. Every issue of HANGER revolves around a general theme (which we speak about right from the start, found on the front cover). While it may differ according to what the scene kids are exploring and what we see fit to dedicate a whole issue to, we will attempt to relate everything back to fashion – even though we try not to take it too seriously.
HANGER should be read, never just flipped through, but collected and treated like a sort of light documentation on what went on around Malaysia and the region, instead. And like all things, we evolve orr expand, rather. HANGER is now available on digital tablet edition for a more interactive experience with the possibilities of runway videos, interactivity within the articles, and interview sound bites. We cater to all sorts of creative outlets.
With this expansion, we would also like to introduce to you HANGER.my – our latest portal that will take centre-stage. HANGER.my will deliver daily updated and curated news on topics like fashion, style, music, art, beauty, and other scene stuff. We take pride in what we do, and we would like to share them with you, our readers, audience and community.
