With everyone mad abut the 80¿, spring/summer 2010 pays homage to this crazy, witty decade of prêt-à-porter costume history with bright bold geometric, animal, floral and pop art prints. Followed by innovative high-tech prints of futuristic landscapes and new takes on Ikat patterns. Lace is guest-of-honour on the summer catwalk: white, coloured, sexy or retro, it reigns supreme, even when made up of crystal glass drops.Embroidery and other embellishments, on dresses, tops and jackets, are strongly inspired by art Deco, featuring stones, petals and metallic flowers, items almost worthy of high fashion jewellery.
