Monica Wise

Founder of L*Space, Monica Wise grew up in Ohio and moved to the beaches of Florida during her young adult years where she first expressed her interest in swimwear. Her passion for the industry drew her to sunny California in 1997.

Drawing inspiration from her lifetime love affair with the coastal scenes of her native Florida and her present So. Cal residence, Monica's career has been uniquely focused on her savvy swim creations. Her talent and passion is well recognized as she continually earns top honors for her progressive approach to both design and marketing, most recently receiving the esteemed pleasure of being selected as the featured designer for the Mercedes-Benz Swim Fashion Week in Miami and awarded the Surf Industry Manufacturing Association (SIMA) Award for ‘Brand of the Year’ for three years running, and ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ in 2009.
