Christian Chenail
About
Christian Chenail first trained as an architect, by studying architectural at the Université de Montréal from 1979 till 1983. From 1979 till 1983 he was studying fashion design at Collége Lasalle. In 1989 he presented his first collection and in 1993 he opened his first boutique, at 4467 rue St-Denis, in Montreal. By 1996 he was achieved the Prix Griffe d’Or. In 2003 he opened the MUSE by Christian Chenail boutique in Quebec city, 7 René-Lévesque West.
The Look
Christian Chenails training in architect is also reflected in his fashion designs: the importance of structure, a rejection of “the purely decorative”, a willingness to make a classic vocabulary modern. These constants guide his creative approach.
