about
In 2002 the Ermenegildo Zegna group and the Salvatore Ferragamo group create ZeFer, a joint venture to develop the Ermenegildo Zegna brand in leather goods and shoes. Ferragamo's ability and experience in leather support the diversification of the Zegna brand, which is a leader in men's clothing. The first shoe produced by the partnership is launched in 2003 and called Portofino.
ZeFer is 50% owned by Ermenegildo Zegan Holditalia SpA and 50% owned by Ferragamo Finanziaria SpA.
ZeFer debuted on international markets since Fall-Winter 2003 season. The business plan calls for a retail sales revenue objective of more than 50 million euros.
