about
In 1994 Ralph Lauren introduces Purple Label, an exclusive brand of mens tailored clothing, with classic, traditionally British styling. Reintroducing true luxury and quality into American menswear, the line of handmade suits is as close to custom as retail can get.
It includes ready-to-wear suits and sportcoats (formerly made by St. Andrew's, now Canterelli), dress shirts, sportswear, accessories, and footwear, as well as a collection of made-to-order suits, sportcoats, shoes, dress shirts, exotic skin luggage, small leather goods, and jewelry.
Ralph Lauren appears in the first advertising campaign for Purple Label, epitomizing the sensibility of Purple Label as the ultimate power suit.
In 2002 Ralph Lauren takes Europe by storm with his Fall 2002 Purple Label Collection Show in Milan. Heralded by DNR as the top collection of the season, it is only the second show of menswear in the 35-year history of Polo Ralph Lauren, and the first in Milan. The collection of powerfully elegant, consummately luxurious menswear, tailored with old world artistry, and shown in Laurens Milan palazzo, is the only show to receive a spontaneous standing ovation during Fashion Week.
Purple Label is only available in Ralph Lauren stores and high-end department stores such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Ralph Lauren redefines Savile Row sophistication in vibrant colors and bold patterns hat suit the modern gentlemans sense of individuality and style.
