Monica Rich Kosann is a jewelry brand that consists of several different collections: jewelry, image cases, frames and evening bag. The first collection was launched in 2003. Each piece is crafted from sterling silver, gold, calfskin leather or glass fired enamel.
The jewelry, image cases and frames are sold in more than seventy select stores across the country, including Bergdorf Goodman, Barney’s, and Neiman Marcus. In 2008, Monica opened her own in-store boutique at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. Her collections are sold internationally at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, Isetan in Japan and Tsum in Moscow.
Monica Rich Kosann's pieces were inspired by vintage cigarette cases, powder compacts, lockets and daguerreotype cases that she collected from flea markets and antique shopping. Monica saw in the shapes of these vintage accessories a new generation of possibilities, modern day pieces that hold something precious to us all, the images of our loved ones. A Monica Rich Kosann piece is designed to be a keepsake to be worn or displayed to preserve a special moment and then passed on for generations as a family heirloom.
