In 1960 Walter Burani founded Selene, a company engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of children’s clothes.
Ten years later the brand diversified into women’s ready-to-war apparel.
In 1988 they focus on licence agreements and opened single brand boutiques.
In 1999 four further single brand boutiques opened and in 2000 nine single brand boutiques opened.
In 2001 Mariella Burani acquired of Moda Tading, historic licensee of the Mariella Burani jeans and sportswear lines.
Ten further single brand boutiques were opened in 2001.
During 2002 the Group MBFG opened ten mono-brand boutiques and six showrooms.
During first half 2003 the Group MBFG opened seven mono-brand boutiques.
