Lanc�me Paris is a French luxury cosmetics house that distributes products internationally. Owned by L'Or�al since 1964, Lanc�me is part of the Luxury Products division, which offers skin care, fragrances and makeup at higher-end prices.

Lanc�me was founded in 1935 by Armand Petitjean in France with a simple motive: to create a beauty brand that would deliver French elegance around the world. The name �Lanc�me� was inspired by the ruins of a castle, Le Ch�teau de Lancosme, while the roses in the area inspired the company�s symbol of the single golden rose.
