about
Hoss Intropia is a brand with a heart. It began in Madrid, Spain in 1994 with a team of all women designers managed by Paloma Vasquez de Castro who is the ex-costume designer for the National Ballet of Spain. The word Intropia is not found in dictionaries but is the union of two words, interior and utopia, which together makes up a philosophy not only of fashion but of life.
Hoss Intropia came as a range of womens wear sold in multi-brand stores. In 1998, it was launched in own-brand outlets, the first of which opened in Leioa (Vizcaya). In 1999, further shops were set up and the firm began to export to Italy and Portugal. The company has grown ever since and its structures have become increasingly professionalised in the process.
There are Hoss Intropia stores located in Regent Street (London) and in the main shopping hubs of major Spanish cities: Serrano, Fuencarral and Preciados in Madrid, Gran Va in Bilbao, Calle Sorni in Valencia Hoss can also be found in 270 different multi-brand outlets across the country.
The firms consolidated network of distributors and agents in Italy, Portugal, France, Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Greece, Scandinavia, Kuwait and Switzerland testify to its decidedly global ambitions. Its clients include major retailers and department stores in Europe, such as Docks Dora in Milan, Raspini in Florence, Fenwick in London and La Samaritaine and Galeries Lafayette in Paris. Over the next few years, it plans to open further outlets in a number of European capitals.
Hoss Intropia takes part in major international trade fairs, including Whos Next (Paris) and London Fashion Week. It has press offices in Italy, Portugal and Greece.
Every season, inspiration embraces a rich framework of references, from ethnic details to retro influences.A broad array of colors, patterns, prints, and trims and an ample assortment of garments and accessories for dressing from day to evening.Traditional embroideries and fabrics experience a turn of the screw until becoming sophisticated creations. Designs are clearly based on a free, creative concept, far from the fleeting trends of fashion, reflecting a society which is free of constraints and where almost everything is allowed.
Hoss Intropia produce and design all of their own prints and details are often hand-beaded and embroidered.
