The celebrated British designer Giles Deacon is the brains behind New Look's iconic Gold by Giles Deacon collection. Hailing from Darlington in County Durham, Giles began his career at Bottega Veneta and Gucci before launching his own cutting-edge fashion label in 2003. He went on to win 'Best New Designer' epithet at the British Fashion Awards the following year before being named British Fashion Designer of the Year in 2006.
