Giles Deacon launched his first collection at London Fashion Week in February 2004. The collection received international acclaim and began a renewed interest in London fashion. Deacon regularly shows at London Fashion Week and the GILES collection is bought by over thirty retail stores including Barneys, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. Since Deacon launched his label, he has seen the turnover double every year and sales increase during the recession.
The Look
Deacon's work mixes a high level of craftsmanship with a whimsical approach often referencing pop-culture. His pieces feature dramatic proportions, startling prints and tactile surface finishes which combine to make elegantly irreverent clothes.
