Cori is a pioneer of the Brazilian fashion industry for almost half a century.
It was founded as a tailoring store named 3P in Sao Paulo in 1957.
Decade after decade, the label devolved along with the changes in social behavior and style.
In the 60s, the company was the first one to start comissioning market research and advertising on television. At the same time, they launched pantsuits for women for the first time in the Brazilian market.
The first store was opened in the early 1980s. They were also ahead of the competition by focusing on integrateing new concepts into the stores, such as personalized service, with as little coffee areas, magazine racks and other concessions.
In 2002, Alexandre Herchcovitch was hired as Creative Director, to bring a modern touch to Cori’s classic style, conquering a new space in contemporary fashion. A year before, Reinaldo Lourenço had already signed a collection for the brand. Since January 2003, Cori participates at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
Today, Cori has 21 stores located in major Brazilian cities. In addition, they are also distributed though 250 multi-brand stores across Brazil and the United States. In the US, the brand has also a showroom in New York.
