about
Christianne Douglas founded Coleman Douglas Pearls in September 1989 as a design studio specialising in Natural and Cultured pearls. Their aim has always been to offer an investment in style and value by utilising their expert pearl knowledge coupled with an excellent network of suppliers.
In June 1994 Coleman Douglas Pearls presented its first fashion show at the Chelsea Festival, alongside Amanda Wakeley, Vivienne Westwood and other high profile British designers.
The Coleman Douglas collections were first stocked by Liberty, London, in 1997, followed by Harrods in 1998 and then worldwide. Collections are now stocked in top quality designer shops and fine jewellers nationwide and in Australia, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland and USA.
In April 2003 Coleman Douglas Pearls created a pearl collection with Harley Davidson to celebrate their 100th Anniversary with a Retro Party - inspired by the 1950's sense of liberation, wild energy and ultimate rebellion, showcasing biker pearls, C-roc and Harley Davidsons. Celebrity models included Emily Crompton and Lady Emily Compton, Hanna Sandling, Rosie Fellner and Samantha Fox.
