Colcci is a Brazilian company, designing and producing clothes for women and men.
It was founded in Brusque (SC) in 1986 and underwent a major redesign in 1997. Parts of the brand, which were basic, won a fashion concept and the shops were modified.
In 2000 Colcci was sold to the AMC T�xtil Group, who also owns the brand Sommer. After AMC T�xtil took over the direction, they invested in changes that had occurred for over four years. And so in 2004, Colcci made its first appearance at the Rio Fashion Week, with Gisele B�ndchen as their main model on the runway. Since then Gisele B�ndchen continues as their model till today.
In March 2008, AMC T�xtil Group was purchased by the TF Industria e Com�rcio de Modas Ltda, owner of the well-known brands Forum, Forum Tufi Duek, Tufi Duek and Triton.
Colcci is dedicated to a young audience and produced mainly jeans and knitwear.
The collections are designed under the Creative Direction of Lila Colzani.
Today, Colcci is one of the largest networks of franchises in Brazil and operates in 31 countries, with 1,650 label stores. The brand has already its own shop in the United States that based in New Jersey. Furthermore they invest in the expansion of their international distribution in over 10 countries in Latin America and Europe and has nowboutiques in Guatemala, Spain, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal and Japan. In Brazil it has 102 franchise stores and 1,500 multi-label shops.
Colcci is heavily influenced by street wise clothing targeted at young people, and is known for its sportswear, denims, accessories and footwear. Although hip hop culture has an influence, designers for Colcci are also inspired by Mexican folk art, religious and historic images, and literature.
