Christophe Coppens was a drama student at the Brussels Conservatoire when he learnt to be a hatmaker. Since then his hats have been bought all over the world.
In March 2000, he opened his first boutique called Le Shop in Brussels. Brides-to-be and maids of honour were particular fans of this boutique on the corner of the street. But it was also popular with hat lovers and fashion accessory fans too.
And he didn't only limit himself to hats but to anything that makes a piece of clothing stand out like accessories (stowls, shawls, scarves, jewellery and bags).
The Look
Black, navy blue and brown are the base colours he uses for his accessories, which are adorned with squares and lines. For women, there are hats that are made to order for special occasions but also everyday hats in shades of jade, beige and grey pearl.
For men, Christophe has reinvented the Grandpa hatand the béret in in all its forms.
