London-based British menswear designer Carolyn Massey had no sooner completed her 2005 MA at the Royal College of Art than stylists were queuing up to borrow her creations. With personal orders flooding in, she launched her eponymously titled label Carolyn Massey just a year later.
She presents her debut solo show in 2009 at London Fashion Week, and is also be exhibiting in Paris during Mens� Fashion Week in conjunction with EasternBlock.
Carolyn is the first menswear designer to have a solo show sponsored by Topman following the success of her seasonal diffusion line for the brand.
The Look
Carolyn Massey is known for her quintessentially elegant English cuts and details, a detail obsessive, her work starts with a military tailoring perspective and is inspired by how menswear has been appropriated during times of civil or social unrest.
