The designer, who holds a postgraduate degree from Domus Academy, in Italy, opened his first studio in 1999. In 2001, Tufvesson started to showcase his collections at Semana Barrashopping de Estilo, followed by Fashion Rio and São Paulo Fashion Week.
In July 2007, the designer launched Studio Tufvesson with a new line of products. The pieces are created after prints the designer develops in partnership with plastic artists, which lends a softer touch to the luxury of his pioneering line. Studio Tufvesson has already launched its third collection and is not stopping there.
Carlos Tufvesson is sold today in more than 50 stores in Brazil and exported worldwide to places that include Beirut, Paris, Madrid and the Arab Emirates.
The Look
Most widely known for his glamorous dresses, Carlos Tufvesson has also been investing in a jeanswear collection. In these pieces, like in every creation, the designer mixes modern elements with the elegance of the female form. From basic five-pockets to couture finishing, trends are replaced with Tufvesson’s and his client’s imagination.
