In addition, they have introduced sterling silver and trend jewelry lines which are available at www.shopamritasingh.com. They also sell to department, specialty stores as well as 200 boutiques in North America. The Contemporary collection has recently added other accessories, such as Handbags, Sandals, and Hair accessories. These accessories continue the companys tradition of high quality, creative, and fashion-forward designs that Amrita Singh Jewelry is renowned for.
Amrita Singhs Fine Jewelry Collection draws its inspiration from the art, wealth, and power of the Mughal Dynasty. The Mughals ruled parts of India for hundreds of years, drawing upon Persian influences, the natural resources of India, and the treasures of trade partners to create breathtaking works of art. Their jewelry was a sign of nobility, adorning men, women, and their possessions alike, acting as a marker of power and royal blood. This Collection represents an inspired marriage of all these elements: from the finely detailed, unique, and hand-crafted nature of every single piece, to the jewels, metals, and woods that are carefully selected. 22k gold is the most featured metal, with rose cut diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and other precious stones surrounded by the detailed pattern-work that characterizes the jewelry of this era. Colors were central to the Mughal design and engravings, and the Collection explores these palettes with enamel-work inspired by the cultural center of Jaipur and with luminous cabochon stones. Most of the pieces in the collection are completely unique, hand-crafted by some of the best jewelry artisans in India who spend 2-8 weeks creating a single intricate work.
